Since 1937, the Johnson City Housing Authority (JCHA) has been dedicated to serving very low and low-income families in the Johnson City/Washington County area. JCHA offers affordable housing opportunities through its public housing program and project based rental assistance across eight neighborhoods and with Section 8 Housing Vouchers throughout the region.

JCHA collaborates with administration, resident associations, recreational partners, and community organizations to provide community residents with access to social, educational, wellness, and recreational opportunities.
