The Johnson City Housing Authority (JCHA) has been serving the Johnson City/Washington County area since 1937.
JCHA assists eligible very low and low income families by providing opportunities for affordable housing in eight neighborhoods through the public housing program, and throughout the Johnson City/Washington County area with Section 8 Housing Vouchers.
JCHA administration, resident associations, recreational partners, and community organizations help give community residents access to social, educational, wellness and recreational opportunities.
Mission
The mission of the Johnson City Housing Authority is to provide a community to call home by cost effectively assisting eligible very low and low income families, providing opportunities for affordable housing and socioeconomic advancement in a discrimination-free environment; and to affirmatively address the physical needs of the Authority’s housing developments to ensure a decent, safe, and sanitary environment for employees and residents.
